Back in July of 2016 Cindy and I ventured down to Wilmington, NC and happened upon Waterline Brewing Company. Actually We have family there so prior to the pandemic we visited quite often, at least twice a year. Everytime we’d visit it seemed that a new brewery had opened, so we always had a new place to check out.
Waterline was a memorable stop. Cindy and I stopped in with my sister, and as they sat at the bar enjoying a flight of beers, I ventured off to find someone to talk to about the brewery. Enter Mark Anthony. We sat for awhile in a quiet room just off of the main brewery and bar area. If I recall correctly there was some kind of funky swing chair hanging from the ceiling. Mark Anthony sat and leisurely swung back and forth as we talked. Very personable and engaging, he did more than just answer questions, he eagerly spoke about the brewery, its history and about the growing brewing community in Wilmington. After we talked I followed him around the brewery for a tour. It was a memorable time.
Sadly, today, I learned that Waterline’s Mark Anthony Mueller has passed away. He was immediately engaging, friendly and quite talkative. He was a pleasure to talk to and made our video better with his colorful, outgoing personality and knowledge.
I’d like to share our condolences with Mark Anthony’s friends and family at this time, and also ask that you help support them with a donation to help defray medical costs. Follow this link to Help the Unofficial Mayer of ILM.
