Mr. Beer is a great, low-cost, easy to use, homebrewing system for the beginner or hobbyist. You will learn the basics by starting with a Mr. Beer kit. Unless you have a friend to get you started, it is not recommended that you just wander into the world of homebrewing without starting with a basic kit first. You may find that that is all you need, and that extra equipment and expenses are not for you.
